🚚 The Branch – Shipping & Delivery Policy

The Branch offers two primary fulfilment options: Local Delivery (for customers within our service radius, including regulated products) and Standard Courier Shipping (for non-regulated items only).


1. Order Processing & Fulfilment

Processing Time

All orders are processed and prepared for dispatch within 1–3 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays) after payment has been successfully received and verified.

Order Confirmation & Tracking

  • For courier orders, you will receive an email with your tracking number once your order has been dispatched.

  • For local deliveries, you will receive a dispatch or delivery confirmation via email or SMS.

Please note that processing time is separate from delivery or transit time.


2. Local Delivery (Regulated & Non-Regulated Items)

We offer local delivery for customers within a 10 km radius of our premises at 978 Kings Road, Shelly Beach, 4265.

Delivery Zones & Fees

Zone Distance from The Branch Delivery Fee
Zone 1 Up to 5 km R50 flat fee
Zone 2 5.1 km – 10 km R100 flat fee

Local Delivery will only be available at checkout if your address falls within this radius.


Delivery Timeframes

Local deliveries are typically completed within 1–2 business days after order processing.
Delivery windows and estimated arrival times will be communicated on the day of delivery.


Compliance & Receiving Local Deliveries (Important)

Because we supply regulated products, the following conditions apply:

  • Age & Identity Verification
    Mandatory age and identity verification is required for all deliveries containing regulated (THC) products.

  • Signature Required
    The intended recipient or a verified adult must be present to receive and sign for the order.
    Orders will not be left unattended or placed in post boxes.

  • Failed Delivery Attempts
    If delivery cannot be completed due to failed verification or the absence of an authorised recipient:

    • The order will be returned to The Branch

    • A re-delivery fee equal to the original delivery fee will apply for any subsequent attempt


3. Standard Courier Shipping (Non-Regulated Items Only)

We offer nationwide courier shipping for non-regulated items only, such as:

  • Grow shop supplies

  • Accessories

  • CBD and wellness products

Product Restrictions

Regulated (THC) products are strictly excluded from courier shipping and must be:

  • Collected in store, or

  • Delivered via Local Delivery (where eligible)


Shipping Costs

Courier fees are calculated at checkout based on:

  • Parcel weight and dimensions

  • Delivery destination


Estimated Transit Times

Once dispatched, courier delivery typically takes:

  • 3–5 business days for major centres

  • Slightly longer for outlying or remote areas

Transit times are estimates only and may vary due to factors outside our control, including courier delays, weather, or service disruptions.


4. Shipping Risk & Responsibility

Risk of Loss

For courier deliveries, risk of loss or damage passes to the customer once the parcel is handed over to the third-party courier.

While The Branch is not liable for courier delays, loss, or damage, we will assist you in lodging a claim with the courier where applicable.


Incorrect or Incomplete Addresses

Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete delivery details.

If an order is returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address:

  • The customer will be responsible for all re-shipping costs

  • Refunds (if applicable) will be processed in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy
